” The photos are wonderful! Thank you so much, you did such an amazing job capturing our day. Everyone loves them!”
Second time lucky
I was first introduced to the lovely Alex and Richie through their wedding planner, Rihanne. After an introductory call with them I was thrilled that they wanted to go ahead and book me to photograph their wedding day. Originally Alex and Richie were due to get married in Chelsea in January, but we know all too well that a little thing called Covid-19 got in the way of everyone’s plans in January and therefore the wedding date was postponed to July…and their venue rearranged to a castle! Talk about an upgrade!
A stunning venue in the Kent countryside.
To look at the photographs we could have been abroad somewhere. It was so picturesque and the weather was just perfect. The Orangery at Chiddingstone Castle offers a unique outdoor, covered space to say your vows whilst still being in the most intimate of settings. And surrounded by the stunning Kent countryside. From the moment that Alex and Richie saw each other they just didn’t stop smiling and you could just see what this day meant to them. That after the initial setbacks, actually, this was the day that they were meant to have had all along. Due to travel restrictions Alex’s family unfortunately couldn’t be there with her but her friends more than made up for it.
Drinks on the lawn
After they were declared husband and wife the bride and groom, along with their guests, headed for a champagne reception on The South Lawn at the rear of the castle. The congratulations came thick and fast. Everyone was just so happy to see them finally say I do! The sun was shining and everyone was just in the best mood possible.
Couples’ portraits in the grounds.
As soon as I arrived at the venue, I was like a kid in a sweet shop! It was literally a photographer’s dream. Ahead of the day Alex and Richie had visited the venue and requested a few location spots for their couples’ portraits which was great for me to know. Using those along with others that I scouted on the day you can see for yourself the great selection we took and just how gorgeous (and so flipping happy!) Alex and Richie look. Following on from this I left the couple to enjoy their wedding breakfast in The Great Hall with their family and friends and continue celebrating their simply stunning wedding day.
Thank you so much for having me with you on your day, it was worth the wait!! This was my final wedding of 2021 before finishing for maternity leave, and what a way to finish it was!
